How Nonprofits Can Do More to Help the Environment

Valley nonprofits of all types can help their organizations, staff, volunteers and clients be more environmentally responsible. This free workshop will zero in on three critical questions: (1) what can nonprofits do to be more environmentally responsible in their own offices - recycling, lowering water use, etc.?; (2) how can nonprofits help their clients, volunteers and staff learn more about principles of environmental responsibility and climate change - including sources of information on the internet?; and (3) what can the CSUN Institute for Sustainability and Pacoima Beautiful do to help? Speakers will be Dr. Natale Zappia, Director of the Institute for Sustainability at California State University Northridge, and Veronica Padilla-Campos, Executive Director of Pacoima Beautiful.
